...and I STILL have one more exam to go. I couldn't make it on the exam day so now I have to keep studying and do it another day while everyone else is enjoy their holiday. It's driving me insane.

I'm actually quite bad with colors. I usually have to adjust the color at the end when I'm done with everything.

You know those really epic scenic space artworks/wallpapers? For ages I have been boggled as to how they were possibly made. I assumed the artists just took reference photos of galaxies, planets and somehow cobbled them together with lots of editing. But it turns out their are ways to make all the planets and galaxies from scratch! So I looked up a few tutorials and tried it out myself:



And here's an abstracty variant which I thought looked kinda cool

They come across well - the 'bubble world' also looks very hauntingly ethereal, it's a novel effect.

Nice mate. The first two look decidedly realistic... but it's the last that catches my eye. It looks very much like something you'd expect to see in one of the more romantic sci-fi flicks

Cloaked planet refracting and reflecting the light of surrounding stars.

Cool stuff!

The third one is beautiful. All those scintillating specks give the scene a dreamy look that I really like.

I preferred the realistic ones, the third looks like an illusion...

2nd was my favourite

All of them are good, but I really liked the third one. I see now that it was just the stars in the background, but my first impression was that of a planet turning to shimmering dust. Like Robert said: very hauntingly ethereal.

Decided to quickly do a rough sketch of it. Ended up with this.

I dunno mate, sometimes the scribble works, particularly for action and movement. Looks pretty awesome to me.

Dude, that was EXACTLY what I thought too when I saw that pic! I used to have the 3-episode video cassette released in NA as the promotion.

Dino Riders was very entertaining, if formulaic at times. I'd recommend it for some lightweight fun.

Don't remember the show very much but the toys were enjoyable. Smash smash boom hehehehe

I do remember desperately wanting the T-Rex.

I think everyone who watched Dino Riders desperately wanted the T-Rex. I know I sure as Hell did. That thing was seriously bad-ass. I used to have the Triceratops though.

I had the Styracosaurus, the Monoclonius (which was just a re-skin) and the... hell, I had another one, but I forget. My sister had the Dinonychus. Dino Riders FTW!
