If it worked on the Mac, I'd likely give it a try. Coolz

(I do have Vista x64 via Boot Camp and Virtual Machine, but I prefer to stay in one environment when I write)

Does this thing have a spelling and Grammar check? and if it does, is it better then Office 2007 enterprise edition?

Because it kinda looks like a complex version of word if you ask me.
then again, the screen shows look more like they are show offs.

It does, but in my version you have to ask it to do a check. It isn't on-the-fly like Word or OpenOffice.

That said, my version is almost a year old, so you might want to ask black obelisk...

The Eagle

He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ring'd with the azure world, he stands.

The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls.

I looked at the 3.31, and I like it.

sadly, I don't really like Paying for something like that.
As such, I poked around my sources: Liquid Story Binder XE 2.92, the registration key is in the readme.txt

Hmm this looks interesting. Certainly it has it's pro's. Honestly though, doesn't look like it's worth messing around for me. I'm not looking to throw images into anything I write, at least not yet. What's more most of the bonus stuff like timelines, character descriptions, and stuff like that I already write up. It's just a simple matter of opening another window, which with my dual monitors is a minor issue.

I've used a couple different word processors, and office suites over the years. Mind you all on a mac, so it can be a different experience then on a pc. Claris Works, Apple Works, Mircosoft Office, Open Office, and lowly little Text Edit. I ran into something a few months back which I find extremely interesting. Google Docs. Basically it's an office suite online. You can create text documents, presentations, spread sheets, and forms. It's saved online, and you can easily upload, or download work in a number of formats. That, and google can post the document right to the internet. I think the coolest part, and what I have yet to really have a chance to put to it's full potential, is the collaboration feature.

Basically you can share the document with someone else who has google doc. You can either give them permission just to read it, or give them the power to edit the document. If two people are in the document at the same time, they can actually chat with one another! It's also suppose to show who made what changes when, but I haven't seen that yet.

Anyway I think it sounds awesome for use with Beta Readers, and that's why I'm writing my fan fic with Google Docs.

It's not a bad app, I must say.

And I think I have a reasonable use for it.

I'm going to type up my stories in Word 07 and use this app for notes, outlines, etc.

Your welcome Very Happy

As for google apps, I have it but I don't like doing all of my writing in a browser. Dunno why, I just don't.

So I just write in OpenOffice and upload if I need to share it...

I agree. Too much can go wrong in the world of browsers.

For example, I've lost the Alpha cyborg profile for the GSG Wiki twice!

I said the same thing both times too.

I'm fairly certain that Google Documents autosaves as you write, the same way it does when you write an email. Since the storage space is on Googles Servers your less likely to loose the file then if it's on your singular hard drive. I haven't been using it long so I don't really know if I like it yet. Time will tell.

It does autosave, but I too haven't used it that often so I don't know how reliable that is...
