Claes' not so secret library

Post by West Nile on Sat 27 Sep 2008 - 2:08

Claes has read a good range of books since she was 1st introduced in vol 2. but does anyone have idea what are they?

state the book and prove that it really is the one she read (just to
make sure, got to avoid people who put titles like "kama sutra")

He said 'since she was introduced' - I don't think the stuff she read prior to her SWA life counts.

Here's a scenario I thought of in my sleep-deprived state:

Triela: HEE-HEE-HEE! Finally, I'm in Claes's se--cret library. Now let's see here, where does she keep the porn. Now let's see here, Devil Lover...Torrid Excess...Secret Ambitions...Hung. Hung? Seems a little thin to be a novel, but it has to be special. It was hidden behind a book after all.

-Triela opens the...book

Triela: OH MY GOD!!! This book has pictures! In fact, it's ALL PICTURES!! There's no way its...I mean...is that what Hillshire looks like?

Claes: Triela!!!

Triela:(hides...book behind her back Superman-style): I DIDN'T SEE NOTHIN!!

Claes: GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who knows? but where there is a will, there is a way. That, and a 'willing' supplier.

Maybe Ferro sneaks Claes 'The Play Girl' every now and again.

Ferro's not social enough. At least, not outwardly.

If anyone's likely to slip Claes naughty stuff, I think it would be Pris. And no, I'm not talking about hardcore porn. I'm talking romance novels that get steamy somewhere in the middle and towards the end.

Thats right, I forgot about one detail.

Girls don't buy porn mags like us boys do. Most that I know of, they would read one of those "Lime" romances. such as Nachtsider is referring too in the quote above.

So if you look at the porn magazine section and realize that there is no magazine that sports just naked guys, you now know why that is Razz

I think its Triela's stash that Claes is sneaking, since Triela is out more often and Hillshire sends her out to the store on missions. So she sneaks a few along with the bottle of wine, cheese and bread.

Just because Claes is single, as it were, doesnít automatically make her the horniest of the bunch. Since sheís not conditioned to a handler, thatís probably the least of her worries.

If anyone is going to have that problem, it would be Triela. Oh wait, I seem to remember something about her, Hillshire and a surveillance cameraÖ never mind.

Very true. And letís face it, as far as Claes is concerned, itís a sure thing. All she would have to do was wink at Sandro and five minutes later she would be deflowered. When it comes to females heís not too particular - as long as they have two X chromosomes, heís good to go.

Well if she does do it, have it happen a bit after Chapter 34, please. Smile

I'm working on a fic right now that takes place shortly after that (which, for my purposes, will be May 2005) and Claes is dead-set against Petra's suggestions of what the teen-aged daughter of a rich Italian businessman would wear (based on the teen fashion magazines Sandro buys for Petra).

ďYou look great,Ē Petrushka said, somewhat perturbed at Claesí response to her work. ďYouíre going to have the guys falling all over you!Ē

ďI have the body of a twelve year old, Petra! I donít want the guys falling all over me!Ē Claes exclaimed as she examined herself in the full-length mirror.

I donít think you have anything to worry about Kiskaloo, canon shows us that Claes is a pretty cold fish (even though she envies the other girls for having big brothers). I donít know where all of the romance novel shit came from, but itís gotten to the point where people are assuming she reads that crap. Itís basically fan fic run amok.

The 'romance novel shit' came from the very first Gunslinger Girl fanfic to be published on the Web - one that's become a fandom meme ever since it hit the press. You can read it here.

The beauty of it is that itís not only not canon, but it runs contrary to Claesí canon personality. Itís like selling people on the idea that Henrietta secretly hates Jose. And the icing on the cake is that this author (who Iíve never heard of outside this story) never had to sell it - people just picked it up and ran with it. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

As I've implied before... reactions to that story and subsequent stories has essentially created a completely different Claes... one who has a bit of sexual curiosity... all for the lulz.
I tend to refer to her as 'fanon Claes'. Unfortunately, some can't tell the difference between the fanon Claes and canon Claes...

Which gives way to Lime fic's of Claes experimenting on Triela.

Depends on the story. I sure know the differance when I am writing a story or scene that contains her, I just cant really see the differance that well when I am reading about her though.

I still sigh every time that I see someone write "Lulz".
To me is like saying "Dickz", but thats the funnier aspect to Dutch I guess Razz

I think a lot of hard core Claes fans have a hard time accepting her for what she really is.

Much of this stuff would not be around if it were not for the preGsG lolicon porn smut Yu created in the first place with 1 girl that looks a lot like Claes, another like Triela and a third like Henrietta. Then to add shame to insult, have other authors to the same with said and more characters that would become GsGs.

Well I will do my best to do right by her when I write her, since she has become my favorite Gunslinger Girl. Smile

Speaking of which...

Just a guess and maybe it's all this caffeine making me think this(sorry, I ran out of ephedrine), but would Claes acquiesce to a three-way with her, Rachel, and Fernando?
