Anyone here know much about flute playing?

I selected the flute as an instrument for one of my OCs, but its been years since I've played one and I don't remember the music very well. Can anyone here who's familiar with flute music give my a recommendation for a good song for my OC to play in the first chapter of my fanfic? It should be something fairly simple that a relatively inexperienced player could actually play, but also a song that's not too obscure. Preferably a bit sad and melancholic if possible. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks for the reply Nacht, but do you have a link or something to where I could find a clip of the music? Or some good tips for searching for it? (Haven't had much luck.) I'm just a bit reluctant to put something down without knowing what it sounds like myself, you see.

hmm... perhaps I could email it. just looked up Nageki (I have a whole bunch of Kitaro I haven't gotten to yet), and it is a lovely piece. Sounds very simple too (not that I've ever tried to play a flute).
for the other side of the coin (something you really wouldn't want the poor girl to try), I'll send over one section out of a Rhapsody (of Fire) song...
Kitaro's 'Matsuri' is also a nice, simple piece. Also, a little more lively than Nageki.
