Henrietta: (singing) Suck my fucking dick, uncle fucker...you're a boner-biting prick, uncle fucker! You're an uncle fucker yes it's true...
.......I'm truly sorry folks, I just needed to re-post this......
I re-read it, laughed to the point of tears. (again)
It's scary that I can picture little 'etta actually happily singing this while skipping down the hall, not a care in the world.
(what I wouldn't give to see Mr. Aida's expression if he were to have someone translate this thread)
Oh, I love our nutty bunch of GSG aficionados, I come home from work to eager see what more craziness transpires here on a regular basis!

Lucy: Thanks Mel. I'm just glad that old Dell is finally useful for something. God knows it's worthless as a computer. And you know, oddly enough, this seems somehow...fitting. Now it only I can remember how I ended up on the roof of the hospital wearing a tablecloth and a lampshade. And why is my lower back sore?

Marisa: (entering her master's office sheepishly) Um, Elio?
Elio: Yes, what is it, Mari?
Marisa: I've been looking through some magazines and I was wondering if it would be okay to redecorate my room a little.
Elio: Well, as long as your room-mate Amelia agrees I think that's a fine idea.
Marisa: Great! I was thinking something like this!

Elio: (facepalm) Actually Mari...I think the Agency is more likely to put you in something like this...

Jethro: "What are you doing, luv?"
Monty: *waving her iPhone around* "Snapping pics, guv... Marisa is going to positively SICK when she sees these."
Jethro: *raises an eyebrow* "A little vindictive, aren't we?"
Monty: "You're not the one who had to recreate 2 months worth of expense reports and intel dossiers when she tumbled them into a mud puddle. She claimed she was 'trying this "Parker" thing'."

Marisa: Can we stay there on our next vacation?
Elio: Sorry kiddo; I can't enter the United States, remember? Maybe Mr. Fernando would be willing to...
Fernando: (muttering under his breath) Are you senile? The Agency doesn't pay me enough to deal with Rachel, Francesca and the freckled terror of Section Two.
Re: OC Dorm Rooms
Went shopping for armchairs today and came across this... sometimes I kind of wish Monty had a dorm room, if only so I could use some of this stuff.

Alfist: *sitting in the chair, in Coco Republic* Chief, I think we should use... the cone of silence.
It sounds really weird sitting inside. Unfortunately my apartment's not large enough to take it.

Triela: Isn't that the room where you put that fancy new chair you and Mr. Blacker bought for the chalet?
Monty: Oh hell...
Both girls rush over to find Henrietta has toppled the chair over and trapped Marisa under the dome. Marisa is fighting to escape but can not overcome her stronger Series One rival.
Marisa: Let me out of here you enormous dork!
Henrietta: Not until you say you're sorry!
Marisa: I'm sorry you're an enormous dork! Now let me the hell out of here!

I don't think the 'shared rooms' rule is hard and fast, although I reckon fewer cyborgs have their own rooms. My OC, for instance, stays in her own quarters situated some distance away from the main dorm.

Well, I'm thinking that if Dusty actually does have a dorm room, between the old heavy metal posters (and probably a poster from the movie, Heavy Metal), the leather jackets and concert T-shirts draped over her desk chair, and various other bits of retro-80s paraphernalia... more than likely she has raided a Spencer's Gifts or Hot Topic. How much of the stuff she actually PAID FOR, is a question that may never be answered.

Not all rooms are shared. Angie and Elsa had their own room, though Elsa had a bunk bed. For a while so did Petra. My OCs have their own rooms- Now one wants to share a room with Rachel, unless they want to be nailed onto a wall and used for target practice every time something goes wrong. And Francesca is an adult in the cyborg world.
There are many factors to this... Just have to figure them out.

I think it's just a case of whatever is convenient to keep the peace sort of thing. Elsa had her own room because puting her with someone else would be more touble than it's worth, and Angelica just happened to be the odd one out. And they had bunk beds because that's what was avalible.

I have the feeling Elsa may have bunked with somebody else in the past, but she made them cry or made them rage and they moved out. The bunk bed was left there as nobody could be bothered to replace it with a single one.

Either that or The Agency got a good deal on a bulk buy of bunk beds when the program was just starting up, and so all the gen1's got a bunk bed whether they needed it or not...Nachtsider wrote:The bunk bed was left there as nobody could be bothered to replace it with a single one.
...in seriousness though, I could see a government agency starting up the first run of Gen1's and going "ok, we have approval and a budget for x number of cyborgs", and doing a bulk procurement for that number of girls, with one or two spares.
Re: OC Dorm Rooms
Petrushka walks into the dorm's common room, and finds an engine block with an electric cord sitting in the center near the couches and beanbags
Petra: ALLISON!
Allison: (running into the common room) What?
Petra: Can you explain why there is suddenly a BMW engine in the common room?
Allison: Oh, I've been waiting for someone to find that so I could show it off! See, I was inspired by this one website on the Internet that showcases these coffee tables made from Jag V12s. I figured I could do it a bit better, so I went to a junkyard, found a clapped-out BMW inline-six, brought it to Q-branch to strip it down and clean it, and then made it into this trick lounge table.
Petra: And how is this table 'trick'?
Allison: Well if you come over, I can show you. (They walk over to the table) If you notice, the crankshaft pulley is still there, but it's got this crank handle now for a reason, and I've messed with the HVAC system to re-route into some stuff I've installed in the block. That's because when you're thirsty, you slide open the top of the table, turn the crank...
Cans of soft drinks, glistening with condensation rise out of the un-covered cylinders.
Allison: ...and bam, refreshments are served.
Petra: (taking a 12 oz. can of Coke) Okay, that *is* pretty cool.
Allison: I know, right? makes more sense than throwing a perfectly good engine block into the crusher.
Petra: ALLISON!

That is not something I recommend attempting if you lack the knowledge on how to take a car apart and put it back together--and for that matter, if you don't have permission from your parents.

Pulling it apart's easy... putting it back together again is the hard part, particularly if you're adverse to having bits left over which you've no idea where they go.MP5 wrote:11thpareidolia wrote:my god MP5 that's genius ( runs out to the family car )

You mean there aren't meant to be bits left over after you take something apart?! Holly shit, I'm in trouble.

My OC, for instance, stays in her own quarters situated some distance away from the main dorm.
Nachtsider wrote:I have the feeling Elsa may have bunked with somebody else in the past, but she made them cry or made them rage and they moved out. The bunk bed was left there as nobody could be bothered to replace it with a single one.
I have a feeling that Elsa's Roomie was the all mysterious unknown Cyborg Killer we all know as Pia. And we all know what happened to her (thought i keep her in my OC Works because she's such a damn cutie...). Damn - 2 cyborgs dead from the same room- it must be loaded with bad Mojo!
Angie's room has a single bed, and a rather large one at that. Plus being the first cyborg, she was treated like royalty and given everything she asked for.

Angie was cremated. Dont know about the others (yet).
And know knows if the parts were removed before cremation for inspection and recycling.

Re: OC Dorm Rooms
I'd imagine they'd cremate what they could, but certain parts would need to be removed as being too difficult to destroy with fire. Agree also on the inspection front, I'm sure the boffins would want to inspect and test all components to see how they held up to useage, how they failed and how whatever killed the cyborg did it... kind of like piecing an aeroplane back together after a crash.ElfenMagix wrote:Awinnell wrote:Dead Cyborgs, do they get cremated as is or broken up for parts ?

Re: OC Dorm Rooms
Best advice I can think of for doing interior work is to do a top-down/plan-view layout first, figure out where the viewer's location in the whole thing will be, then try to draw the actual image.Deathly-Hallows wrote:fffff speaking oc my OC i want to draw what her dorm would look like but i know it would take forever and i suck at dimentionsconflicted with laziness
...that's of course if you already know what you want. If you're just concepting, then go nuts.
Re: OC Dorm Rooms
Perhaps this just might be bit of Mary-Sue issue leaking through there, but Emi has a room for herself, and interesting a pretty large one (whoever knows why they put the small unpretentious goth into this particular one).
At first she had just a small single bed, no bunk bed, but after the make-over Etienne gifted the room she has a (admittedly much too large for her small being) canopy bed (of imagined around 2,30 x 2,30 meters).
Oh, and of course a black chandelier. Who doesn't need a chandelier to enlight or decorate the room?
How can your cyborgs just live without a chandelier?
