I don't think the 'shared rooms' rule is hard and fast, although I reckon fewer cyborgs have their own rooms. My OC, for instance, stays in her own quarters situated some distance away from the main dorm.

well in the interview with a cyborg she did say that she used to have a roommate, but they got in a fight because she touched and moved around her dolls and she hates sharing so she isn't allowed one anymore

How much of the stuff she actually PAID FOR, is a question that may never be answered.

I think it's just a case of whatever is convenient to keep the peace sort of thing. Elsa had her own room because puting her with someone else would be more touble than it's worth, and Angelica just happened to be the odd one out. And they had bunk beds because that's what was avalible.

...in seriousness though, I could see a government agency starting up the first run of Gen1's and going "ok, we have approval and a budget for x number of cyborgs", and doing a bulk procurement for that number of girls, with one or two spares.

I have a feeling that Elsa's Roomie was the all mysterious unknown Cyborg Killer we all know as Pia. And we all know what happened to her (thought i keep her in my OC Works because she's such a damn cutie...). Damn - 2 cyborgs dead from the same room- it must be loaded with bad Mojo!

Angie's room has a single bed, and a rather large one at that. Plus being the first cyborg, she was treated like royalty and given everything she asked for.

I'd imagine they'd cremate what they could, but certain parts would need to be removed as being too difficult to destroy with fire. Agree also on the inspection front, I'm sure the boffins would want to inspect and test all components to see how they held up to useage, how they failed and how whatever killed the cyborg did it... kind of like piecing an aeroplane back together after a crash.

Best advice I can think of for doing interior work is to do a top-down/plan-view layout first, figure out where the viewer's location in the whole thing will be, then try to draw the actual image.

...that's of course if you already know what you want. If you're just concepting, then go nuts.

Perhaps this just might be bit of Mary-Sue issue leaking through there, but Emi has a room for herself, and interesting a pretty large one (whoever knows why they put the small unpretentious goth into this particular one).
At first she had just a small single bed, no bunk bed, but after the make-over Etienne gifted the room she has a (admittedly much too large for her small being) canopy bed (of imagined around 2,30 x 2,30 meters).

Oh, and of course a black chandelier. Who doesn't need a chandelier to enlight or decorate the room?
How can your cyborgs just live without a chandelier?
