I normally go direct to the designer's websites (Armani, Prada, Gucci, Christian Louboutin and Loeffler Randall).

Major department stores on this end: Macys, Marks & Spencer, GALEC Leclerc, ITM Entreprises SA, and Fonciere Euris SA... Most of them can be found on the web.

Just Googling about, I found for Italy:
some webpage I found wrote:ITALY
1) Esselunga SpA Limito http://www.esselunga.it/, 2,986.5, department
stores/supermarkets
2) Supermercati Pam SpA, Spinea, NA, 979.9, supermarkets
3) Iper Montebello SpA, Montebello Battaglia, NA, 403.7, Department
stores/supermarkets
4) Fiordaliso SpA Rozzano, NA, 149.4, hypermarkets
5) Coop Operaie Di Trieste Galleria Brotti, Trieste, NA, 113.1,
department stores

Then there is what Kisk said about the designers...

Possibly a bit late on the band wagon but: what sort of look were you after? I mean, asking for "Girl's Clothes" is a bit like asking for "beer"... there's quite a broad range =P

Cherry Blossom Girl tends to be quite Twee... but that's cool, I like twee... it's cute and retro.

http://www.akira.com.au/ does some really interesting high-end west-meets-east looks. Not that hot on his model selection though.

The Universal Store I'm not a big fan of the Universal Store... ok, I refuse to set foot in the universal store, but if it's in they've probs got it.

Fashion-ation is The Coolhunter's fashion arm (be warned possibly NSFW, opens with topless Sharon Stone right now). Also tends to be a bit "highfashion" but the "street style" posts are pretty sweet.

Kookai does some nice casual looks and advice... I often draw one of my OCs (the "buy the lastest thing" girl) carrying one of their bags. Either them or...

TCB who also notably have some of the coolest store interior design around.

Well, that's starters... honestly most of those are stores and blogs not designers, but they're a handing jump-off point.
