"Double Vision" by 3OH!3, which poor Jay will find he doesn't enjoy as much as Kara does in an upcoming Top Gear Italy fic rusty-spring and I are working on. Wink

It's awesome. It kicks off my "Dump & Burn" playlist of high-energy anime music.

I heard this song from 3OH!3 the other day and thought it would be a good fit for a comedic "behind the scenes" scene with Kara and Jay in that TGI fic we're working on:

is it just me, or is the fact that Bruce is an airline pilot, has resulted in aircraft being mentioned in a few of the songs ?

Pretty good (enough for me to get it off iTunes)... but why is it that songs you heard on the radio in the car are never quite as good when you look them up later?

Rediscovering The Offspring and a specific track is proving a suitable distraction as I outline two fics instead of working on the main three. One of which takes place in between Alpha's departure from the Chrysalis Foundation and the upstart Section 2 ; and his first return to Italy.

The other takes place after Alpha has already returned to the fold and is (finally) attached to the Rome Field Cell with Altheus and Liesel.

Now all we need is Leonard Nimoy singing "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" or "If I Had a Hammer" and our misery would be complete.

Or perhaps Shatner doing "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" or "Mister Tamborine Man". Smile

Yes, and some of the Shakespeare on Transformed Man is pretty good. Shatner's actually one of my favorite actors; he's the best person doing what he does.

Just when I wondered what could possibly trump the genius of the Black Parade. Between this upcoming release and Cradle of Filth's, I'm sooooo damn stoked for November.

I'm actually kind of interested in MCR's new album. They have talent, although I don't really care for the singer's tendency to either whine or scream. But, The Black Parade was pretty good.

Try singing along with Gerard note for note and beat for beat. You might then have a greater appreciation for his voice. Seriously, that man has one of the most powerful sets of lungs in the alternative rock business. And he sounds exactly as he does on his albums when he performs live - no skimping, scrimping or lip-synching.

I wasn't criticizing Gerard's skill; he definitely has it. Just the tone of his voice is kinda whiny, IMO, and I don't care for whiny voiced singers. I have the same problem with the Shins; pretty good band, but I don't like the singer's voice that much. I still listen to them, and MCR. It's not an unforgivable flaw.
BTW, I've heard they're an awesome live show.

I'm listening to ClariS' latest single - irony - which is the OP theme to Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii wake ga nai.

The real winner of this CD is track 2: KOKORO no Inryoku.

The third track is also solid:

Add one to Jethro's "winding up my charge" playlist: Herman's Hermits "I'm Into Something Good".

Also, seeing that lefty bass kinda makes me want to try drawing the mob from K-On! dressed up like that.

Herman's Hermits "I'm Into Something Good".

The lead looks a bit like a young Mick Jagger, IMO. ON a less frightening note, they look like a bunch of accountants being strangled by mutant guitars. Jeez those things are high.

Shatner's voice makes everything good.

As for me, I've been listening to B-52s Love Shack...for some reason.

The Tremblers are my favorite thing Peter Noone has ever done:

I love this album so much!

I've lately been listening to an awesome compilation called Electric Cambodia:

I don't have much on the harddrive right now, so it's pretty slim pickings, and I don't feel like pulling up youtube and searching for stuff right now.
