Pribor-3B assault rifle

Man-portable nordenfelt gun of the Soviet era that apparently provided
'near minigun' performance by combining the ROF but to be suitable for
a soldier to handle. It uses the 7.62x39mm round but the ammo supply was limited as the weapon is magazine fed.
The
Pribor-3B assault rifle still worked but was also quite hard to control
due to the recoil force, Cartridge ejection is downwards BEHIND the
magazine area as the weapon uses a gas/recoil
operaton similar to that used in the AN94 Abakan assault rifle
currently used by Russian special forces. Another variant of the
Pribor-3B was made from AKM smilar parts to ease production. The
Pribor-3B would be more practical as a tripod mounted machine gun if its possible to make a belt feed device for it.

Certainly looks impressive, but just by the look of it, I'm guessing it never saw use in actual combat. I mean, if it's rate of fire is really near that of a minigun (~50 rounds/second), I'd guess that magazine would last it about a second before needing to be reloaded. Also, it lacks a bipod, making an already difficult to control weapon even more unmanagable.

The drum is an excellent idea as I have plans to use a modified, drum fed BAR M1918 in the AlphaxKara fic.
Buuuuut...
I'm wondering if this gun with a modded feed mechanism and re-chambered to 7.62x51 NATO might serve a better purpose when fired in the BAR's trademark "walking fire" shooting stance. Maybe even mod out the stock with something resembling the SPAS-12's retractable 'hook' stock...and with a forward grip.

a three tier drum system might work- eh, why not... We'll Make It Work!!!
Looks to me like the top two protrusions seems to be for something like a scope or a handle. If its a handle, it can offer better stability while shooting it.
