Yeah!
Marisa: Hey Rachel, why don't they ever tell you to wear the stupid tree costume?

Henrietta: (fake whisper; loud enough for Rachel to hear) Her boobs are too big to fit inside the suit.

Rachel: (growling) No...but I'll bet your head will fit in the toilet!
Ok.... that had me busting out loud!! Awesome Prof! cheers

once I figure out how to post pics I will post the image that I think would be good for Marisa

Pippi Longstocking: super strong little girl with red hair and pigtails, loves the water and has a sharp tongue.

Good parallels there. I admit I'm not too familiar with the Pipi Longstocking stories, but as I recall she was extremely independent...which is where the corollary with Marisa runs out. She probably wouldn't last a week without a responsible adult holding the reins. Razz

Marisa at the helm reminds me of a Grateful Dead line: I may be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride! You know crazy Ayden will follow Marisa gladly!

No.
Pipi was an older girl compared to Marisa, taller too. Plus her powers was that of her story written hundreds of years ago. She is quite independent, unlike Marisa which was stated need constant supervision. Pipi is also always happy no matter the challenge or outcome, Marisa is not.

The only parallels is the red hair.

Ok, I'm sure we've (just about) all seen Frozen by now. Is it just me, or does Anna kind of look like how one might imagine a slightly older Marisa to appear, facially at least?

Or am I just going nuts?

I actually haven't seen Frozen.

HOWEVER, now that you mention it:

"We're going to Finland? It sounds boring, what's in Norway?"
"Drysuit operations in the middle of extremely deep, icy fjords."
"...okay, now that just sounds terrible."
"Also rally racing. There's a junior division, for children 10 to 14."
"..!.."
"If we wrap this mission up early, I know a few guys who can get me a racer, so if you're interested--"
"R-rally racing?! OmigodELIO YES!!!"

(Though in hindsight, I'm not terribly sure Elio would let Marisa do that....)

Okay. 1) see Frozen, you're missing out and 2) I dunno mate, I think you'll find "deep, dark and dangerous" to be right up Mari's alley.

There IS that, yes. So, to rewrite:

"We're going to Finland? That sounds boring, what's in Finland?"
"Drysuit operations in the middle of extremely deep, extremely cold fjords."
Marisa:

Now that you mention it.... yeah, I could kind of see that, if her hair was more red than copper...

Voodoo can correct me, but I always thought Mari was supposed to be copper-ish anyway.

Again, probably one better answered by Voodoo... but I did go and hunt down the picture of Anna wearing a goofy grin for a reason.
