Alfa Romeo Visconti Concept

Came across pictures of this concept car recently. It's a bt dated now, being from 2004, but it's definitely interesting, and it certainly stands out compared to say, a Mercedes E-Class or BMW 5-Series. Although apparently it's looks have been the cause of some controversy. What do you people think? Anyone else hoping Alfa's upcoming 169 will take it's styling cues from this thing?

If it had entered production, Michele would definitely have owned one.

I dunno, It looks a little tail heavy to me in the pics... I'd have to have a closer look at it... the styling is definately showing it's age though (in terms of where Alfa Romeo seems to have taken things with the 159, Brera, etc).

My personal jury's still out to be honest.

It has that 1990's Bugatti butt.

I can't make up my mind if I like it or not so, thoughts? I'm not certain on the Neanderthal looking front, doesn't do much for me. However the head-rest detail and deep-dish steering wheel do...

Kind of looks like an Alfa re-skin of a Honda S2000...which is who I'm sure they'd like to steal some sales from.
