Kara will mostly be listening to high-energy anime OP and ED themes, Touhou, and European Trance/House.

Claes will mostly grumble to herself about how the music interrupts her reading. Smile

I dare say Airbourne's Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast fits Allison's character well. Sorry Brian.

Makes Sense. She spends too much on her car, she's too young to do the things she's doing (in combat or to her car), and she drives too fast.

The two ultimate driving songs are 'Express Love' by Mega NRG Man, and 'Heavy Metal (Takin' a Ride)' by Don Felder.

Rock Lobster, played at sufficient volume will definately lead to the kind of vehicular shenanigans generally frowned upon by law enforcement...I guarantee it.

Travellin' South by Joe Bonamassa would be a good one to add. Also add I Stay Away by Alice in Chains and Motorcycle Drive By by Third Eye Blind. Last one I have to suggest, Constant Motion by Dream Theater. Amazing song.

With the speedometer needle pinned at the stop pin of the gauge, which is usually over 150mph in a car with a V8... So in the in the following order, since the beats mix in so well together:
Private Idaho, Give Me Back My Man, Rock Lobster... all extended versions.

And when they have been completed- you have just traveled almost more than 45 miles.

American Roadtrip + trippy music... needs something appropriate on a shirt:

Maybe some grapefruit in the back as well

For the Highway Stretch; I'm getting a feeling for "Flowering Nights" from Touhou, "Honest Mistake" by The Bravery, "Bag Pipes" by DJ Krid P, "Trebaruna" by Moonspell, and "Big Red Rocket of Love" by The Reverend.

For city driving and especially those Stop-Light Scenarios ( Evil ); "Train of Consequences" by Megadeth, "Call Me" by Blondie, "Children of the Grave" by Black Sabbath; "Joker and the Thief and Woman" by Wolfmother, and pretty much anything that ever came out in a Guilty Gear game.

For Route 66; I can't argue with some good, solid Springstein; John Mellencamp; Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash.

Now for Vegas; and you all knew this first one was coming; "Born to be Alive" by Patrick Hernandez, "Groove Line" by Heatwave, "Burn Rubber On Me" by The Gap Band, "I Just Want to Be" by Cameo, considering the nature of the trip "Ladies' Night" by Kool and the Gang, and this little tune I just happened to come across...

Well, I know Monty's not on this particular roadtrip, but she does spend a significant portion of her life on the road. So some favorites from her and Jethro's highway cruising playlist (and because I forgot them from the "iPod" list):

- Pretty much anything off Paul Simon's "Graceland" or "Rythme of the Saints"
- Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Cosmos Factory"

...and how could a retro highway list be complete without Janis:

Or for that matter... some Jumpin' Jack Flash:

They may not be designated "driving songs" in the musical canon, but Thin Lizzy's version of "Whiksey in the Jar", and the Animals' "House of the Rising Sun" are the official Frazer Anthems - whenever The Elder and The Younger (but not The Youngest, as he doesn't share our tastes) are in the car, they'll be replayed five or six times whenever they come on the rotation.

I need to work on a new driving mix for my trip to Ohio next week as I'll be doing a fair bit of motoring between Dayton, Toledo and (perhaps) Cincinnati.

I don't know how the experimental weapon Ayden would find out about this old TV theme song, but if she did, me thinks she'd bug her Handler Gunther to play it before a mission, in order to rev her up! Smile
