Kara: "So this place has air conditioning, room service and a spa, right?"

Re: Scuderia Ferrari
Well, room service is probably a guarantee, the spa is doubtful, and depending on how old the castle is and how well it's been maintained, air conditioning is likely. Just not quite the kind that Kara is thinking.
She might want to watch out for rats though.

Claes: "It's a castle, Noel. Of course it's going to be haunted."

I spotted my white whale - errr.. that is the yellow Ferrari with the suspended registration yesterday. He's apparently working for an insurance agency in-town, so I have his route to-and-from his house. If/when I see it again, I'll snap a shot of it. After I arrest the driver, that is. *evil grin*

In other Ferrari news, Friday was to be the official launch of the Scuderia's 2012 F1 challenger but heavy snow in Maranello put a damper on festivities.

A somewhat more low-key launch occured online the next day.

I'll just leave this here... and maybe these as well.

You'd think a cyborg's reflexes and strength would be a good thing behind the wheel, since they could stop on a dime...
- Spoiler:
Claes: "That's not gone well."
Allison: "At least it didn't have ceramic brakes. They stop even better."
Kara: "I'm sorry my right foot doesn't have ABS..."

Number seventeen - Woman
The theme of 17th edition of The Official Ferrari Magazine is nothing less than woman.
This number is an authentic tribute to those women who love cars, races and especially Ferraris.
For years male selfishness considered Ferraris just a privilege for men.
We will prove this is not true.
This is not true so because there are women who love Ferraris so much that they drive in one every day and because there are women who work in Maranello each day to design them and to produce them and to contribute to their diffusion.
They are not the Ferrari women, but we could rather talk about "Women’s Ferraris"...

And yes, Michele will be one of the 499 folks getting one.
We chose to call this model LaFerrari," declared Ferrari's President, Luca di Montezemolo, "because it is the maximum expression of what defines our company - excellence. Excellence in terms of technological innovation, performance, visionary styling and the sheer thrill of driving. Aimed at our collectors, this is a truly extraordinary car which encompasses advanced solutions that, in the future, will find their way onto the rest of the range, and it represents the benchmark for the entire automotive industry. LaFerrari is the finest expression of our company's unique, unparalleled engineering and design know-how, including that acquired in Formula 1."

Jim: I am so with you there, Allison. Calling a Ferrari "The Ferrari" is pointless - there's going to be another one bound to beat it - they should have called it the Ferrari 150° Italia, since it is the best Ferrari...yet.

Re: Scuderia Ferrari
To be honest, my major issue with calling it "La Ferrari" is, well... it's not exactly forward thinking is it? I mean, what on earth do they intend to call the one after: "The NEXT Ferrari"? and then perhaps "The One After That"?
It's a bit like calling your newborn "The Baby" or the family pet "The Dog"...
...though, I guess to be fair, we always simply called our dog "Dog" and:

*shrugs* Maybe there is something in it afterall.
