I don’t know if they are or not, but you definitely got the creepy part right.

I don't see how it could work out if they where only in his mind. He must mention them to his colleges. At which point he goes to a nice padded white room.

They where beyond strange, and I hope they don't return.

Maybe he keeps them all to himself. And he can continue to do so, all I care.

I don’t too much care for the “Twins” either. They always struck me as hokey and cartoonish - not only in the way they look, but in the way they act and talk. They take away from the overall realism.

Not to mention the hint of fan service...

Spot on, man - which is why I tend to dismiss them as not being real. Duvalier is pretty out-of-place himself, though.

Here's something I've been thinking about for quite some time - a lot of people think Enrica's appearance in Volume Six was the appearance of an actual ghost. Consider the fact, though, that Jean had a wee drappie or two prior to her popping up...

I always assumed he was just dreaming her.

A strong possibility as well, Danjo. Trust me to immediately jump on the fact that Jean had a glass of liquor in his hand prior to seeing his sister - that's my jaundiced view of the world talking, I suppose...

...who are these people and what narcotics were they shooting into their veins?
Jean was clearly on an Absinth bender (that shit'll kill ya, trust me).

seriously, though... I always had the impression that Jean dreamt that from a drunken stupor, and his vision of Enrika was simply the more accusatory side of his own psyche... which could be derived from the assumption that in life, Enrika was often at odds with her Eldest brother, while the younger of her brothers was her closest friend. <--- insert common Japanese fetish here

People on other forums. You should see some of the stuff they get up to...

When Sandro is asked to give a name to his cyborg, Louis mentions that "If you follow your predecessors, it'll be a boy's name." With Marco sharing the same thought.

... What?

Ok, so not including Petrushka, there are 10 cyborgs: Henrietta, Triela, Rico, Claes, Angelica, Beatrice, and the other 4 being unknown (though I do like to dance around the idea that Pia is around...)

Anyways... that suggests that the other 4 cyborgs have boy's names, suggesting the other 4 cyborgs are girls (no shit). But why boy's names? Were the other handlers scared of becoming like Marco (first attached to his partner, then extremely distant)? Or was it Jean's influence? Could it also be a clue onto which cyborgs were created first (the first ones having girls names and the last ones having boys names)? Using that logic that would mean Rico is one of the newest cyborgs, not Henrietta. But then that contradicts the fact that Elsa was the new girl on the block...

Guh?

Bong hit

My god show all the others already... at least once like Beatrice, no?

Claes is a name derived from Claus/Nicholas. That sort of gives us the identities of two of the four, really.
