:lol!: An army of Ricos. Far better to have 11 more Ricos then 11 more gangsters. Sure, she may be way more dangerous, but the corrut SWA spends its time killing other corrupt people (for the most part). So as long as the corrupt just keep killing themselves the normal people can live their lives peacefully (or at least more peacefully then if the corrupt decided to wage war on the un-corrupt).

But, if you do end up being faced with the worst case scenario, who would you rather be killed by; a cute little girl, or an ugly old mafiozo?

If there were many Henriettas they would start a small civil war over Jose... that would be the sad end of the SWA.

Sheo is one of our most talented Gunslinger Girl fanfic writers. A dedicated Henrietta fan and Hillshire-Triela shipper, he's written many sublime works, including what is widely considered to be the greatest ongoing GSG fic of them all - Life Goes On. He's also the only individual whom I've officially permitted to use my characters in his stories (I trust the guy to get all my OC's characterizations down pat), and it is he whom I'll appoint as my successor when I finally retire from the fanfiction scene.

You can go read his work here. No disappointment will result.

*reads about Sheo Darren*

Yeah sheo Rocks, I could send him a PM over the Forum that he is currently on full time, asking him to show his face over here Razz

then again i dont know if he will do it or not, he is kind of bizy with Academic/PR'ing.

And Sheo Darren would die of a massive kawaii overdose.

That's happened a few times already i believe :p

Hillshire-Triela shipper

Finaly. now that is a good hint, i needed that Very Happy

He's also the only individual whom I've officially permitted to use my characters in his stories.

Question there; What about people who you did not give permision? (knows some that are using you're OC's with out disclaiming even.)

Sheo's one of the best that I have read so far...

If need be, Sheo can be pure evil at times...

Well, I'd like to say (concerning Vol. 6), that Jean actually turned out the way I imagined him in my fan fictions a long while ago. Anyone notice he got nicer with a sense of realization about the girls' reality?

It also made me happy to know [for a fact] that everything I ever theorized and studied about the cyborgs was correct, or had no conflicts.

I think the 'altering your cyborg's looks' gimmick only applies to the second-generation girls, Colonel - Angie, Henrietta, Rico, Triela and Claes look just as they did before being roboticized.

That's what I think too. We actually get to see almost all of the girls before their "transformation" and they look the same, so teh evidence is pretty solid.

Petra's cosmetic change was because she was sorta semi-famous before her reconstruction. I doubt they would've bothered, otherwise... so I doubt the other girls underwent any change at all... unless their families live really close to the SWA compound or something.

Yeah, he might not have some big, vivid, easily identifiable strangeness about him, but he ain't "normal". I mean this on many levels.

Just read vol 7. He seemed perverted from the beggining, but I wasn't expecting him to strip Petra half naked and shove his tongue down her throught...

Well, maybe normal isnt the correct word. But hes a realistic man who can squeze out the good side of things despite his line of work and manages to have some fun. Hes one of the few Handlers that are not in constant drama over his past or his cyborg.

What do you think about him?

The more i see them together, the more i think that Yu Aida created these 2 wanted to keep away from making lolis all the time and draw some actual normal fanservice, lol.

As far as Im concerned, Petra is nothing but eye candy even though it seems that in later vols Yu is trying to give her some rebellious type qualities. Hes basically making her into a mixture of Triela and Henrietta.

As far as Im concerned, he should just keep her naked and mute.

I have to agree with this statement. Also, in Vol. 7, I saw a little bit more usage of "traditional manga", but thankfully not much, barely at all.

Henrietta: I don't like Petra.
Triela: Why?
Henrietta: All the eyes are on her now.
Triela: I think Jose likes it that way.
Henrietta: What?

She might have her obvious fanservice moments but i think she has more to her character than just "Eye Candy". Shes actually a pretty inteligent person considering shes a condicioned cyborg and usually argues the morality of people actions in terrorist and political issues.

This and her background story gives her a very good level of depth to her character, if it didnt then the last volumes wouldnt be worth it. Thing is that when one chapter focused on this side, other chapters just focus on the fan service. Not a very good balance if you ask me.

Also, in Vol. 7, I saw a little bit more usage of "traditional manga", but thankfully not much, barely at all.

In what way?

I think that kind of personality runs contrary to what the girls are all about. Their most important trade mark is their total dedication to the Agency and their Handlers. If Section 2 wanted all the girls to be free thinkers who were critical of their jobs and the political situation, they would just take them off conditioning altogether. If you think about it, its Sandro who acts conditioned, while Petra sees the conflict from all sides. If you ask me, the next time she goes in for a fix, they should give her a shot of the high octane stuff.

I guess I should have said that Petra is becoming a Triela whos missed a few doses.

I guess I should have said that Petra is becoming a Triela whos missed a few doses.
If Jean sees this, he'll send her in for a 2nd Claes-style rewrite, "for safety reasons!"
I think it goes a bitmore than just missing a few doses... I think she'll go to pull rank on the others just on the basis of age- even though she is the youngest cyborg of the group! Bring back Angelica to teach her about seniority and missing out on a few doses of conditioning!

And perhaps even an anti-fur lobbyist, too - or a 'Save the Whales' zealot.

I can see it now - Petra outside Armani, waiting to splash a bucket of red paint on the first person to walk out in a fur.

Am I the only one here who thinks Louis' creepy twin assistants might just be a figment of his imagination?

I don't see how it could work out if they where only in his mind. He must mention them to his colleges. At which point he goes to a nice padded white room.

They where beyond strange, and I hope they don't return.

I dont too much care for the Twins either. They always struck me as hokey and cartoonish - not only in the way they look, but in the way they act and talk. They take away from the overall realism.

Not to mention the hint of fan service...

Spot on, man - which is why I tend to dismiss them as not being real. Duvalier is pretty out-of-place himself, though.

Here's something I've been thinking about for quite some time - a lot of people think Enrica's appearance in Volume Six was the appearance of an actual ghost. Consider the fact, though, that Jean had a wee drappie or two prior to her popping up...

A strong possibility as well, Danjo. Trust me to immediately jump on the fact that Jean had a glass of liquor in his hand prior to seeing his sister - that's my jaundiced view of the world talking, I suppose...

...who are these people and what narcotics were they shooting into their veins?
Jean was clearly on an Absinth bender (that shit'll kill ya, trust me).

seriously, though... I always had the impression that Jean dreamt that from a drunken stupor, and his vision of Enrika was simply the more accusatory side of his own psyche... which could be derived from the assumption that in life, Enrika was often at odds with her Eldest brother, while the younger of her brothers was her closest friend. <--- insert common Japanese fetish here
