Hey!

Post by rokuso3 on Tue 3 Aug 2010 - 11:23

Hi, guys! My name is Victoria and I like GSG manga (I haven't seen the anime version... Should I? I heard that 2nd season is pretty bad). I wanted to read some fanfiction while I was waiting for more releases... And since it seems that fanfiction is really popular in this forum... here am I

I've been reading this forum for a while... and, like most people here, I like Triela, too.

P.S.: have mercy on me, please! I'm spanish so English is not my mother tongue XDD.

¡Bienvenido Rokuso! Your English already seems better than some of us who speak it as a first language.

Of course, take a look at both seasons of the anime if you have a chance. It is true that the second is not animated as well, but there is a lot more focus on story (where the first is almost entirely character-driven).

Hope you enjoy the forum!

WELCOME!!!

Glocks are not the shit. Glocks can fail the same as any other gun. I've seen it personally, and have even heard first-hand accounts of something as basic as a slide-retaining pin snapping, the slide flying off. Get over the obsession and buy what fits your hand, your wallet, and ability.

Yeah, I don't think the second-language thing will be a problem Wink

Also you can find the first season of GSG on FUNimation's YouTube channel.

For someone who is not native to English your wording seemed perfect to me. 'Course some say my English leaves much to be desired to,an' it's my native tongue. I'm more here for the chat, though I like the GsG story lines pretty well, I just don't have time to write here an' in my forum as well, believe you me! So maybe I'll see you on hat someday, eh?

Anyways, Welcome.

Stop worrying about your English, Victoria - it's great. And I highly recommend the anime's first season. Welcome to the club!

Mainly the script, that I found quite interesting. I kept reading, and... Well, I liked it. A lot! Besides, I like the atmosphere -I mean, it's Italy! And Italy is great.

Welcome! You'll fit in very easily with all the Triela fans here. Henrietta is my favorite but Triela is a close second.
@rokuso3 wrote:Hi, guys! My name is Victoria and I like GSG manga (I haven't seen the anime version... Should I?
Please do. It's my favorite adaptation of GSG and it beautifully polished up what was provided by the manga. A beautiful work of art. The first season only though.
@rokuso3 wrote: I heard that 2nd season is pretty bad.
Yes it is. DO NOT see it. You'll be doing yourself an immense favor. I remember how crushed and miserable I felt when I first saw it. I felt like I was stabbed in the back after years of anticipation.

So I hope you enjoy it here!

Just discovered that season 1 is available subtitled on Youtube here. Don't know if it will work in your country, but it's worth a try. Both seasons are on Hulu, but I'm fairly certain that Hulu is US only.

Do what you want and have what it is you wish.

I thought the second seas was crappy until the (and forgive me for calling it this) Triela arc. I dunno what the studio was thingking putting friggin smoke, shaky camera, overlays and did not appreciate their artstyle.

oh and welcome btw feel free to stay.

I'm actually a hardcore otaku who likes maids more than having three meals in a day and I only read books related to maids. Also, I only visit maid cafes. Of course I also collect maid figurines, I play games which feature maids and it turns me on so much that I'll wear the maid uniforms and jump in joy.
