I just came back from the store with my wife... she spent $44.15 on candy. I have a bag of pretzel m&m's. Just wanted to share

Candy is bad for you.

There are many healthy, tasty alternatives like grapes, apples, and bananas.

While most kids his age were ga-ga over sweetmeats, Nachtling developed a preference for salt after early exposure to potato chips. Unfortunately, this still persists well into his adulthood.

I used to prefer savoury snacks, but ironically, since becoming diabetic I've developed a taste for sweet stuff Sad

Trips to my local Bulk Barn are a real guilty pleasure of mine. I usually walk out with 40-60 bucks' worth of candy. My typical setup is ~3-4 lbs of Reese's Pieces, 2-3 lbs of Peach Rings and then about 2 lbs of white chocolate Clodhoppers. In my defense, I only eat them when I'm at work and I can typically stretch out my stash to last 4-6 months.

Yeah, I stick to once every so often, and only after dinner - I'm actually fairly well controlled but it just gets annoying having to control my sugar intake Razz

I have a sever addiction to Peppermint Patties...I chill them in the fridge so the sugar dissolves slower, sweetening the dark chocolate coating, followed by the sensation of mint and...mmmmmm...

$40 worth of candy? You punishing your Pancreas or something?

If anything, I get a $1's worth of candy once or twice a week when I think I need to be rewarded. $1- because what used to cost 25¢ in the late 1970s is now $1 and is also 1/2 the size of it too!
