Omnibus Collection2

Its Available and I got it!
More of the same improvements. Corrections in translations makes it easier to read when compared to my original V4 - V6 books.

Bloody Hell, between this and Goodsmile's (hopefully) upcoming release of their Triela figure, I'm not going to have any money left. And strangely, I think I'm okay with that.

Quoted for truth.

I actually had the Omnibus on preorder... unfortunately my credit card's been blocked (suspicious activity, bank's cancelled it and are sending me a new one), so I'll have to cancel that order and re-order once I've a card again.

Ouch, that sux. I'm lucky enough to have a local bookstore that stocks a fairly respectable range of manga titles; GSG among them. So I'll probably go pick up a copy for myself after work tomorrow.

Hee hee hee... picked up mine at the beginning of the shift... although, I must confess, I DID get an odd look from the bookseller, coming up to purchase my faux-loli manga. I think I successfully head-faked her with the inclusion of some crunchy 40k fiction, too. *grins*

I'm not the only one here that's not too happy with the omnibus v2 cover, right?

Yeah, that's pretty why. I really wish they had gone with v4's cover. Much more tasteful, colorful, quiet, and my 2nd favorite cover (my Etta bias). I really don't look forward to taking this to the bookstore cashier.

Whaaat?? That's my favorite picture in all of GSG! <3 I'm soo happy they used it! Very Happy

I saw it in the bookstore today, but didn't buy it, I figured I could get it a bit cheaper in a month when I go to AnimeNext.

Picked up mine for $10.24 on Amazon. I'm not sure if Right Stuf needs extra time to get a volume of copies for their "release" date, but I'm saddened that they are behind Amazon this time.

I've heard of some interesting conversations regarding Excel Saga vol 18's cover. Nishiki's scantily-clad loli goodness apparently directed one cop to ask someone how old she was, to which the target said he didn't know, but she's a robot.

The issue was funny as hell, though. And nothing compared to the content in other volumes.

Yeah, my orders from them ran a couple weeks behind the "retail" release date.

It's good. Anyone else find themselves thinking there are sections missing or moved around, even though the pages are sequenced same as ADV's? It's probably just my memory being messed up by the anime.

Mine is in the mail, but it may be in part because Seven Seas has "massaged" the translation to take into effect things that happen far later in the manga. So you may be experiencing more "foreshadowing".

No, it's more direct than that. Like when Beatrice finds the explosives, I was certain that Rico beat the guy to a pulp then, but it was actually a chapter (or scene) or so later in the manga, and a different guy.
Anime is destroying my mind.

The second volume of the omnibus is also out in the UK now as well. I gushed a bit about it.

I'll be honest in that I never had an intention of buying the first or second Ominbus books because I already have the first six volumes in English. I do plan on buying Ominbus 3 for obvious reasons.

I have noticed something a little funny about the second omnibus. It has two chapter 20s. Of course Shrewd Snake, Innocent Dove is supposed to be chapter 21, but it's called chapter 20. Puzzled The numbering is fixed after that, as the following chapter is chapter 22. It doesn't change anything, but I can say that I noticed a typo on the part of Seven Seas.

Well, there seem to be a couple more typos in the dialogue in this omnibus, but I can never remember any off the top of my head. I know they're there though. Oh well, it's still a good omnibus.
