Iladiocile's Art Dump

Post by Iladiocile on Sat 3 Mar 2012 - 19:38

Sorry mods if I'm posting in the wrong section. orz

So, I mentioned I'd be taking art requests since I've been mostly inactive. Here's a sample of my art. Sorry in advance for the general sketchiness of it.

I'm not that good with colours so all I can offer are illustrations/sketches similar to this. Oh, these are my OCs who I've neglected orz by the way. They're a (reverse?) fratello consisting of a robotics engineer named Cinzia Vespasiano and her male operative Eliseo. :]

I'll post a few more later. Hopefully.

Wow, really nicely done. Great job of catching their expressions (particularly Vespasiano's). Personally I like a more sketchy style so...

By the way, if you flick up the "Original Characters" section, there is a board dedicated solely to OC drawings. Would love to hear more about your... I believe the term your looking for is Sorello (Sorella? Sombody? ).

I think you can probably afford to take "crappy" out of the thread title as well.

Thank you for the kind words. :] And yes! I actually like your sketchy style too! And my gosh.. your play on dynamic perspective is something I can only dream of. :[

I should probably transfer this over to that section. Is that possible though?? D:

No worries mate, and cheers (you've definately got one up on me on facial structure and anatomy though, among other things).

As to transferring it across... search me mate. Probably best to wait for one of the admins to show up and ask them, generally they seem pretty happy to move stuff around if required.

I like it! Drawing influence straight from Aida, it appears? Who else would you list as an influence?

A bit from Aida but usually only when I draw anything related to GsG. :] I don't want to stray too far from his style yet I still want to incorporate my own flair. :]

There's Loomis, for one. I use his guides when I draw. XD To a degree Sahara Mizu (Voices of a Distant Star) and of course there's Disney too, but that's mostly 'cause of school, ahahaha.

Bold lines and subtle, muted expressions in keeping with GsG canon. Well done Iladiocile!

Very nice work. Really expressive and I love the sketchiness of it (I tend to keep mine fairly sketchy as well).

Very nice, though there's a typo in your title. Wink it should read 'snappy', not 'crappy'!

Oh you guys.. ; U ; Thanks again for the kind words. :]

Anyway, was doing some warm-up sketches before I began working on actual school stuff and I decided to give the girls a go.

I apologize if they're ooc though, I haven't reread the manga so I only based their expressions off memory. :[

No, I'd say they look pretty much in character... that said, it's been so long since I read anything of the manga itself (bar Entropy's updates, and lets be honest here: the recent chapters haven't exactly been character arcs) that my perspective on the whole thing may be a tad warped.

Glad to see Bice in there, she's one of my favorites.
