From GOFA's twitter:
相田裕「GUNSLINGER GIRL」完結記念展~Memoria~開催致します!キャラクター達,相田先生そして皆様の10年間のMemoria(想い出)を懐かしく振り返ってみ て下さい☆皆様に楽しんで頂ける素敵な内容を、随時お知らせしますね!

Yu Aida "GUNSLINGER GIRL" final commemorative exhibition-Memoria-will be held! Please look back 10 years of our character, Dr. Aida and our memories of ) Memoria I miss it from time to time we'll enjoy all ☆ the wonderful contents!

GOFA Website: [LINK OMMITED]
Gunslinger Girl page of the GOFA Website: [LINK OMMITED]

From what I can make of the machine translated Japanese it sounds like Aida him/herself will be there doing signings and there will be exclusive merchandise available. They seem to also have a web store so here's hoping they'll put some stuff up on there.

I have Tokyo pencilled in for the end of the year, but if I go, it will be when Alfisti is also in town and I can visit my former exchange students.

*Checks itinerary* I land at Narita 6:15am on the 30th. So, Kisk, if you're going to be in town, give us a yell.... Otherwise my mates are getting dragged along.

For the record we'll be at Ghibli on the 4th as well.

Awesome, I'm actually going to be in Japan by complete coincidence during this! Definitely going to check this out. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Does anyone mind translating the info on that page? I understand like 10% of whats on there and it's not really doing much good for me. An address in particular would be great.

Also wondering what this is:
コーヒーチケット = coffee ticket? Anyone know what this might be?

I've never been to Japan. I do plan on going one day, since I did take four semesters of the language, but no concrete plans have been made yet. Needless to say, I won't be going to this. I would like to see pictures of the event though. I'm sure it will be amazing.

Wow. Too bad I'm not anywhere near there. Thanks for the pics. I like pictures. They're especially great for those of us who can't be there. I bet that McDonald's did well today. Razz I see sketches, and soundtracks, and a bunch of other great stuff that a GsG fan would love to have. Alfisti, could you do us a favor and post pics of some of the stuff you got? Heck, if you're allowed to take pics of the event, I'd love to see those too. You may not be allowed to, mind you. But, you can always take pics of your swag later on. Smile

I was fortunate enough to go to Japan right as this started, so I was able to see the exhibit. They wouldn't let me take any pictures beyond the entrance, but I managed to buy as much stuff as I could afford. Very Happy
The picture of Triela, Henrietta, and Rico with the wine was FAR beyond my budget though.

Here's some pictures I was able to take:

So I found out what the coffee ticket is for: entrance and a cup of coffee, surprise surprise.

But what the cafe also had was definitely a highlight of my visit there:
Etta Coffee!!!

I'm definitely glad I was able to go, it was a great experience. Sorry for those of you who can't make it, but I hope these pictures help give you a taste of the experience. Thanks again, Velatix, for the info!

You should print off a copy of your J&M fancomic and take it over, Alfisti - if The Man Himself is there he might get a kick out of seeing western doujinshi, and who knows, there might be an editor there who'll snap you up for the official spin-off that's surely going to be announced once the Memoria event closes.

It will.

It has to be.

That ice cap is amazing. Is that done by a person or a machine? If it's done by a person, it's absolutely incredible. If it's done by a machine, it's slightly less incredible, but I would love to have one. The Japanese have done it again, with their incredible talent, or sci-fi like devices, or both.

Wow I wish I could be there now! I visited Shibuya during a two-week vacation to Japan a few years ago; primarily to see the statue of Hachiko!

Long time Gunslinger Girl fan here, first time posting.
I noticed that no-one had posted about the recently announced Gunslinger Girl Exhibition that will be held at GOFA (Gallery of Fantastic Art) in Shibuya.

From Aida's twitter:

Period of 12 / 1-12 / 30, we held an exhibition commemorating the completion of the "GUNSLINGER GIRL" in the gallery in Shibuya. Sale of goods and not only get here, so I look forward to your autograph session is scheduled for

From GOFA's twitter:

Yu Aida "GUNSLINGER GIRL" final commemorative exhibition-Memoria-will be held! Please look back 10 years of our character, Dr. Aida and our memories of ) Memoria I miss it from time to time we'll enjoy all ☆ the wonderful contents!

I actually passed that statue on the way to the exhibit from the train station there. Stayed in Japan for only one week though, so I really had to make the most of it. I'd like to post some long overdue pictures of stuff I bought from the exhibit if anyone is still interested.

You didn't? I bought as much as my meager budget would let me! Subsequently, the dollar is now a lot stronger than it was 2 months ago, so now is the perfect time to go to Japan. You'd miss the exhibit of course.

So here they are, enjoy!

Bookmarks, 2 sets

This is actually supposed to be a coffee tumbler art insert. I'll buy one soon and see how it fits. GSG Coffee anyone?

Clear file

A pin you get free with admission. You reach into this blind box and pull out a number, and they give you the corresponding pin. Also my colossal receipt. Worth it.

More of my pics earlier in this thread if you're looking for more. The bookmarks are definitely my favorite out of these.

That's really cool! Has there been any word on a Triela figure designed by Max Factory; along the lines of the recently released Henrietta one?

Glad you like it! Very Happy Wish I could have bought more, but I pretty much ran out of money during my trip. Tons of figurines I had my eye on too, not to mention some pricey GSG stuff. D:

Thanks! Haven't heard anything about a new Triela figure, but that Henrietta figure was pushed back to this March unfortunately. Hopefully afterwards?

No, I've already got everything GSG related I want, and the only thing which was there I wanted to buy (the picture of the girls with the bottle of bubbles) was sold out... I'm trying to reduce the amount of stuff I buy/have bought and shove in a draw at the moment so...

I'm not planning on getting the Henrietta figure; as I just recently bought this one at a fair price. If and when they release a Triela version, I'll be in line to buy it for sure.

Almost forgot, here is the one photo I did get at the exhibition:

You can tell I didn't get that blazer cut to put a jumper under it (I had it cut as a travel/transitional weather jacket). Unfortunately the heavier one I had was still in my suitcase, at the hotel, where it had been unceremoniously dumpped after arriving from Narita.

I wish they had something like that here in the States.
