Anything over 100 years is respectable in its own rite. I hope he was not ill or suffering from pain before his death.

Though as an American, my views might be skewed on history. But as one person to another, I can respect what he did for his people in a time of need. May he be honored as a hero that he was to you all there.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

Pretty much what Elfen said.

One does not have to like a person to respect them. *salutes*

Very sorry for your loss, Mystery. May your people long revere the General's memory, and find new leaders to inspire them.

Mario Bossi would make a better handler than Marco Toni. Come to think of it, so would Christiano.

Elizaveta didn't jump - she was pushed.
.
Sofia was pregnant. It would have been a boy.

Even Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin was both revered and vilified; but nonetheless a man who did what he could for the betterment of his nation. A salute goes to the General as he now rests himself for all time and may the Halls of Valhalla greet him upon his arrival.
