Agreed - I found it a very entertaining show and worth dropping a few hundred bucks on for the Blu-rays.

Yeah, I hear ya. I did enjoy it. I'm not saying it was bad, just not necessarily recommending it Razz.

I'm weird, so take it with a grain of salt.

This is a magazine ad for a school assignment. Elly sneaks her way into a lot of school stuff.

I included american camo and a freedom patch in hopes of getting away with including weapons in a school project. Teach loved it.

Indeed that sneaky Elly does tend to show up in your works more often than not, doesn't she? Razz But, in all seriousness, that's another great picture of her. Maybe a bit of a hidden meaning with that tagline given Elly's true nature, though the teacher doesn't need to know...

Be as unhappy with  the layout as you like, but I like Pete and Elly's facial expressions: clear but not exaggerated. You get better at this all the time.

Question- is that a belt buckle visible under the last button of Pete's jacket? Looks a tad low, at least for a guy's pants. Also, where's his soup-pot hat?

I know this is my Pete and Elly thread, but since this is somewhat related to that, I'll put this here.

This is Toni. I probably wont get around to using her, but its nice to have more than just two in the arsenal.

Height: 5'5"
Physical age: 17
Weapon of choice: Glock 18, 9mm
Helmet of choice: Shoei RF-1200
Ride: Aprilia RSV-4
Handler: Coming soon?

Toni is pretty BA. She carries a Glock in her jacket with the regular mag cocked and locked (for concealment), and a few 33 round mags in her belt for when things get REAL. She rides a sexy Italian super sport, the Aprilia RSV-4; perfect for getting through congested rush hour traffic. And no, she's doesn't permanently wear a full leather track suit.

Well, same universe, same storyline (I presume)... it'll probably fly.  Razz

Nicely done mate, looks like she should be an interesting foil to Pete and Elly's more sombre/offbeat-ness. Admittedly, I did need to go and look up the bike as, to be honest, if it doesn't have a boxer-twin or was made by a British small arms manufacturer, you've pretty much exited my ability to identify bikes  sweat. Will be curious to see what her handler is on, as a thought, perhaps something with a little more carrying capacity? Being able to respond quickly is one thing but, if you're riding toward the gunfire, you may need at least a little ooph to be effective once you get there. If he is the more experienced rider, presumably he will be able to keep up on something a bit heavier and less wieldy?

Or not, as the case may be... I guess that depends on whether you want him to be effective/competent. Maybe he's just biting off more than he can chew. Very Happy

Awesome to see Toni in living color, and with some more details about her role and personality to boot. It would have to be some impressive tailoring to hide a Glock in that jacket, but I suppose it's possible. The Secret Service hides even larger weapons in their coats without showing even a bulge all the time, so it's no big deal. Seems she's primed for those swift insertion/extraction types of missions, except not necessarily all that stealthily. Wink

Well, both my bike riding characters wound up on BMWs so...

Had a read of the Dorsuduro reviews, don't know if it's what you were going for, but it sounds a bit of a high-performance handful.  Razz  If he needs to carry kit, I guess the handler can always carry a backpack or, failing that, maybe one of the Caponord line might be worth a look?

Having worn a variety of riding gear, I can say that most of it is pretty rigid and made of thick material. I imagine that a glock with a short mag stuffed in the front of your pants wouldn't be too obvious. But of course I've never actually tried doing that Razz. And you're correct, she is a hit-and-runner with no attempt of stealth.

I'm just assuming that as a hypermotard it can hop curbs better than a street bike. I would have opted for a suzuki drz 400, but those are just plain slow. The Caponord is interesting... I'll have to do some more research on a fast curb-jumpy bike option. head bang

Action, because I'm sick of not drawing it.

More to come.

Like the wound drawing and blood.  Should have sound effects words.

Nice art. How old is she?  She looks 20 for me. Smile

She looks like she applied make up, perhaps as part of her role in a mission? Outstanding art. head bang

Been mia lately. sorry.

Procreate for the ipad pro records the drawing process and plays it as a time lapse. Thought I'd share a couple sketches. Further proof that I never get things right the first time. Razz

*The Elly art board was used for notes before I started drawing, so there's random writing at the beginning.

I like the line-by-line process shown in the links. It really shows the creative process.
And how often you erase. Guess you do a lot of experimenting as you draw, which explains your rapid improvement.

You're too kind. I seldom go in with a game plan, so I probably erase more than the average bear.

Out of curiosity (because I don't write); How much of your writing gets deleted during your drafting?

Nice mate, your pictures are improving all the time. I love the difference between Elly in sportswear vs. evening wear.

Fun also to see the recorded process...

@TeaTimeNinja wrote:I seldom go in with a game plan, so I probably erase more than the average bear.
I dunno mate, I know (at least, when there's the option) I do a not unreasonable amount of erasing and adjusting. Perhaps more than that, and I think one of the points where our processes diverge a bit, is that I tend to work in passes. If you look at my more recent traditional medium works you'll see quite a lot of blue pencil sitting below the pen and marker, so basically I have a couple of goes at something in the blue, then try to pick the best line out of that with the pen. Same deal working digitally, except the blue pencil is replaced by a sketch layer. Interesting to be able to compare approaches.

It varies, depending on how concrete a scene or idea is in my mind when I put it down. On average, I'd say twenty to thirty percent.

Very, very nice indeed. I agree with the others in that your art is constantly improving. Also, it's quite the change to see Elly in something other than casual/active wear, and I like it quite a lot. Maybe more of her, and Pete too, in that vein?

As for your question, it depends a lot on what I'm writing. I also am trying to get rid of the problem of internal editing while writing, which means I may permanently delete less at a time, but at the expense of being dog slow at it. So... I guess I can say not a lot... and almost everything gets deleted while writing. Go figure
