CG tries Art Sometimes!

Post by Chronic Guardian on Fri 4 Nov 2016 - 12:25

Soooo... pretty much the topic title. Just thought "Instead of monopolizing the general area, why not make my own little corner?" I mean, granted, I still don't own most of what I'm working with, but here you'll find my random drawing attempts that really have no canon significance on Dual Trigger. All that said, how about that Vol. 2 I promised you?

And, while we're at it, some sketches inspired by PSVT's Valentina. Because, seriously, think of all the possibilities!

Super special thanks to all of you out there who make characters that are fun to think about. Extra super special thanks if you don't sue me for thinking about them Razz .

Until next time!

Lovely, lovely work! Especially those of my Valentina, for which I thank you immensely Very Happy (understandable bias is understandable Wink)! But the other drawings are quite good too, and they provide a bit more visualization of your characters, which is always a useful thing. You have a decent bit of drawing talent. Hope to see more drawings of yours posted here in due time.

Understandable bias is doubly understandable when the character concept opens up the possibility of changing Jean's ringtone without touching his phone! Laughing

"A Princess who needs to give 'em the slip? Let's-a-go, Hartman! Heists are my specialty!"

Thanks! It's easy to practice with subjects like Jethro. Real nice, well defined face, that one.

Aaaand a few highlights from the backlog. Y'know, because not everyone cruises dA.
1. An old Dual Trigger Cover

2. My journey of defining Kay and Vee. From 1.0...

To 2.0...

To 3.0...

Plus some wardrobe modelling with Quistis as a base...

There! That ought to tide 'em over for a while...

Holy Cow, CG! (No, I'm not Hindu.) I've seen the Dual Trigger cover, of course, and the 'Falling' one as well. But all the other sketches of Kay and Vee are new to me. They're thoughtful, true to the characters, and help to bring them to life. Thank you.

Mario Bossi would make a better handler than Marco Toni. Come to think of it, so would Christiano.

Elizaveta didn't jump - she was pushed.

Sofia was pregnant. It would have been a boy.

Oh, hey, thanks all! Seeing as I'm still a Level C artist, I appreciate the feedback.

Also, thought I should let you know, although there are some fan characters I will naturally gravitate towards, I'm also not opposed to lending my talents on demand (as you see above with Kay and Vee). Although my backgrounds still need work (Figure A:)
I can put together a "concept sheet" (Figure B:)
Or something a little more concrete, should the client wish. (Figure C )
Whatever the case, I would love to collaborate with you! Drawing new character types is a great opportunity to expand my own skills.
