I actually have trouble recongising Amadeo. Is he one of the ones who was discussing Triela's defeat by Pinocchio prior to her departure on the mission to protect Mimi? Because the assault rifle we can see there isn't either of the weapons you described. Magazine type is wrong. Might be a folding stock Beretta AR, but I'm not entirely sure.

Yeah, Amadeo's one of those two - the one who looks like Kevin Bacon.

And regarding the weapon - bleh. That's what you get when your memory's shaky, and your manga volumes are nowhere nearby...

So he has locks hanging in front of his forehead instead of a buzz cut like the guy he was talking to?

BTW, I'm now fairly sure it's a Beretta SC-70/90 or SCP-70/90 (the SCP-70/90 being the carbine version of the SC-70/90).

might be a guard in a tower or somethin'...

I take it back. It might be the guy training Ange. What I took for a banana mag might be the front handle swinging with the guy's rearward movement.
I'm 99% certain it the guy training Ange - the clothes and the gun look the same to me.

Yup, he's the one with the locks - thanks for clearing that up about his gun. And I say Georgio (Mr. Buzzcut) is the one with the MP7 who's training Angie.

Having used some magnification to take a close look at the gun the guy training Angie is wielding, I'd say he's definitely not holding an MP7. Maybe an MP5, though it seems a bit lengthy for that.)

But Triela wasn't holding a gun when she was critiquing Henrietta and Rico earlier either, so...

Interesting note is that whoever is holding that gun is holding it in their left hand, not their right.

Actually, she did fire that P7 (note I said P7, not MP7) left handed in Episode 4, didn't she? Any other instances you can think of?

Speaking of which, anyone think that a good argument for the P7 being Triela's was the fact that she knew how to use it? It's not like a SiG or Glock where all you need to do when you have a loaded chamber is pull the trigger.

My point exactly - that instance is what totally sealed the 'Triela is ambidextrous' deal for me. I'm not sure about any other such happenings, though.

That final argument you make is as sound as any. But then again, I'm one of those people who think it's a given that the P7 belongs to Triela.

Re: This one has gunstock like Claes's VP70!!!

Post by Wileama on Wed 14 May 2008 - 21:50

Okay about the P7. I thought I recalled seeing the gun some point previous to Triela using it. After reviewing the episode it would appear I'm wrong. The P7 would appear to be Triela's. The only thing that confuses me about this is that this is the only time we see Triela set up with a backup pistol. It's what ever though.

As for the MP7. The clothes definitely look to be Triela's to me. If you look at her shirt on the pervious page it's got that white reflection to it. The same kind of reflection we see in volume 6 page 101. The pants match as well. The only thing that makes it odd is on page 100 Triela is unarmed. Then consider that she's instructing, and it gets even weirder. She has no reason to pick up a weapon, but it seems to be what happens. I also don't think that it belongs to whoever is training, or practicing with Angelica. There are serious differences. First the butt-stock is all wrong. The MP7 has a sliding butstock, while this other rifle has solid buttstock. Second of all, I do think that's a banana clip in the front. It's to close to the pistol grip to be the forward handle on the MP7. Finally the lines, and shape don't match up well.

As for Amadeo using Beretta SC-70/90, I think almost all of the support staff does. Amadeo is in a Carabinieri uniform. Most of the people on the support staff are going to be coming from the Italian military. Disguising themselves as Carabinieri would also make for a useful cover. Add to that the possibility that Section two can enforce some level of uniformity among the support staff. Yeah I would say that it's likely that they have all been issued SC-70/90s. Well maybe not someone like Ferro, or Priscilla.

Anyway list update. This aught to be all the guns any of them ever use right?

I am agree, but it's true only for automatic-mode. Anyway, Stechkin is more massive (more 1 Kg). But for Olga it's would be natural choice, as for former soviet officer.
About Makarov ammo... So, SWA used so many types of weapon, one mone, one less - is not metter. It's wil be naturally if all of them used Beretta.
BTW, why anybody don't use Glock? I think Glock very popular in special forces.

A lot of our OCs use Glocks, but... yeah. Don't see many of those floating around the SWA. I hear Special Forces prefer other pistols to Glocks, though.

I've handled them before, and I disagree with the apparent 'popular opinion' - to me, they're quite aesthetically pleasing.

Having fired one a few times, there's nothing wrong with Glocks really. I just don't like how they fit in my hand. The grip angle is a bit steeper than I would like.

I've heard the single stack .45 Glock 36 is really good though.

...it's my favorite concealed carry weapon... more than adequate for engagements at 7m or so.

The recoil can be a bit much for some, but that's why one has to match their weapon choice to their body size. A .45 is just about right for me.
