Heh, Then you need to learn something from our Japanese friends. One guy there actually wanted to marry a Anime/Mange character. It was in the papers a few back, so I don't have a clue on how that ended. Though I certainly lol'd when I heard it.

But anyways, why DO you keep saying my Triela?

Over obsessive or?

Kind of hard to envision a future in that kind of relationship, but if that’s what floats your boat…

Give it time and they'll make real cyborgs/robots for you, and not just dolls.

Actually I know a guy who's made a few realdolls into fully working PCs.

Keyboard sits on their lap, and they hold the monitor infront of their chest etc. Pretty cool stuff actually.

Boy Toy Dolls are built to look like anime characters.
Thus they have larger than normal... eyes!
OK, and the proportions of the rest of the body is that of a well endowed anime girl as well.

Also, they dont make the Boy Toy Dolls with the same craftmanship as Real Dolls. You can see the lines where the injection molds were held together!

Real Dolls used to sell (for $10 grand more) a PC Personality kit. A PC plugs to the back of it, and it used to actuate servos and actuators to give the dall movement and an AI to interact with.

But this was years ago and they no longer sell this. Probably too costly and customers were dissatified with the results... ITS A ROBOT, NOT A REAL GIRL!!!! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!!!

Good luck trying.

Anyway just to give this thread a little jump-start, I'm wondering about Triela's fashion sense. We usually see her in a trenchcoat, tie etc but for a while in vol 8-10 she's wearing a skirt (where did she get that? Hilshire?) and immediately after that little saga in vol 10 she's back to the trenchcoat, shirt, tie and long pants. I've never tried but wouldn't it be easier to move about in a skirt and short-sleeved blouse? Just a random thought

Me too. I tried it once and it's small and godly accurate. The 2 mag wells make it easy to reload too. The only problem is that the handle's behind the pistol grip, making it hard to do a follow-up (though with the sub-MOA accuracy I don't think follow-ups are the norm)

@Danjo3 wrote:Maybe went she’s not on the clock, she likes to look a little more feminine for her big bro.

Strange. I thought they were on a mission that Christmas. Oh yes. Hilshire probably didn't tell her about it. I'm imagining if she changes out of that skirt when they suddenly go on missions how comical it would seem. Probably have a "We need to drive back and get my pants from the dorm" moment or "I'm changing, don't peek" moment. Puzzled I think Hilshire would start to pack a pair of long pants in his car

Triela did ask Hillshire early in the manga why he dressed her in suits and Hillshire replied it made it easier for them to blend in when traveling in what would be considered "higher society". At a nice hotel or restaurant, for example, she'd be within the dress code, where if she was in jeans and a t-shirt, she wouldn't.

I cannot comment on why she's dressed the way she is in Naples during Volume 10 in the canon (though I can comment I think she looked great).

In my OC universe, she is starting to try and look more like a woman for Hillshire, influenced by my OC's fashionista trends. When she was in Naples dressed in the skirt/sweater/boots, she saw the trenchcoat (a leather one from the Versace fashion house) and commented she liked it. Hillshire went in, she tried it on, it complimented her outfit, so he bought it for her.

I think that after the bit with her dressing up to look older and more like a women, and how hillshire commented on what she would look like, that she's probably starting to dress more feminine on her own. It's part of the character change we're seeing. She's opening up more and is more happy now from what I see. If she also thinks she's close to the end, why not dress up as a girl now?

Lots of people who are on their last days due to some illness etc, go all out and do stuff they never did before and so on. So I think her switching over to a skirt at times is just one of the more visible changes to her character thanks to knowing her history and deep relationship with her handler. Plus I'm pretty sure she's given in to the idea that she's really in love and decides to show it. So you know, girls dress up to get guys attention, etc.

It may be a case that in Naples she had the flexibility to dress more "girly" and now that she's back in Rome, her more formal attire is the more appropriate form of dress for the (upcoming) Venice mission.

It could also be a case that she just wants to wear it for nostalgic reasons.

I know I’m probably in the minority, but I like the mini skirt with the hair down. Very cute.

If you referring to her outfit in Volume 10, I agree completely.

I agree too, but did it occur to you that in vol 7 there's another one of her that fits the description? So which one is the one?

Oh Shi-

Lets get out of here people! And for god sakes, hide those teddy bear knickers!

...

Would the fact that Triela is older than she looks make her legal? Lets see 13~14 plus 1~3 years... Gah, still can't make 18!

The Age of Consent in Italy is 14, so you need not worry about "15 will get ya 20".

The only thing not making her legal is the fact her cyborg body still makes her look younger. I can't understand why they don't (since I think they can) give her a bit of a older body.

She just needs a bit of an upgrade really, remember the chapter where Sandro did his makup magic and she looked like she was 21! Now that'd be a dream come true.

They can make the girls look older with clothes, cosmetics, hairstyle, platform shoes and prosthesis like fake breasts.

However, they can't change the physical dimensions of the girls without replacing the arms and legs and while that would make them taller, since their heads and torso/abdomens would be the same, they'd look gangly and spindly and probably...odd...

I dunno, again, some girls have less biological parts in the torso than others. Like Henrietta I remember says she doesn't have her uteris anymore and so on, when Triela is complaining about her cramps. So I suppose in that respect, they can replace more than just arms and legs.

My personal view is that Henrietta's uterus was damaged through forced sexual intercourse with her assailant so they removed it because it was quicker and easier then repairing it.

Compound that with possible knife wound/puncture damage and it might have been outright unrepairable.
