Close Combat Weapons for Cyborgs

With all the firearms flying about, Lets talk about some melee weapons that our cyborgs, or Pino, might like to try out. We do have our share of knife wielders in fanon, so why not we talk about the stuff they might be intrested in?

I know less about knives and blades and blunt weapons than I do about guns, but I can't get the image of Claes wielding a Meat Cleaver out of my head.

And what would be more effective against a cyborg, a really sharp combat knife or a stainless steel baseball bat? Sheo's rubber bullet thing got me thinking.

The only melee weapons I can judge completely effective against cyborgs would be lightsabers and those little handheld stun guns.

Well Blunt force has been proved to be able to knock a cyborg out cold (Triela), so I'd think things like clubs or hammers might work if you can survive long enough to land a hit (no eask task).

She's already at sword length. She just needs to learn what us Brits taught our WW2 soldiers to do with them; stab with the blade vertical, twist so the blade is pointing horizontal and tear it clean out the target's side.

In remembering seeing a fight between two street thugs, one pulled out a gun, the other a knife (pocket switchblade type). Guess who one?

Arroagance and stupidity aside, the guy with the gun approached the guy with the knife and say, "I'm the one with the gun, I'm the one in ch*urgh..." as the other plows the blade into his gut.

What can I say? It does not matter what you have as a weapon, if you are going to be reckless and stupid while having the advantage in a fight- you have lost it all.

Lethal intent truly is more important than armament. That being said, and lethal intent being equal... a grade 4 titanium kodachi could ruin just about anybody's day.

What was that thing Rin Asougi from Mnemosyne used to kill the zombies in episode 1? It looked like it was using shotgun shells. Looks a bit impractical, but I wouldn't want a faceful of that.

hmmmmmmm. a pair of roller blades and a hockey stick. considering their strength and speed they could lay down one heck of a high stick. A skate by if you will.

Given the girls strength something like a claymore, Mace, or Crowbar would best suit them. A lighter weapon may also work well, but these monsters would be sure to do the job.

A hammer--workbench purposes.

Tell you the truth though, I would really prefer to see Triela with a chainsaw Bayonet on the end of her shotgun. That would be all sorts of awesome I can not yet begin to describe.

I think Gears of War had a chainsaw equipped machine gun. If that wasn't bad as hell, I dunno what is. Then again, all the weapons in that game were quite gory.

If it was a shotgun, I can imagine Triela booting up the game, taking one long hard look at the computer screen, then running off to the R&D division and asking; "Can we do THAT?"

Next thing we knew, Triela would run the Padanias to their homes in fear with her new gun and after a year of no Padania activity (and a really bored Triela), she'd turn on the agency and kill em' all!

Remember the time Rico was giving that fellow a nice close up view of her fists in Volume 4? Imagine her doing that with a pair of Power Fists.

Blood and Gore.

Not too Familiar with the Gears of War story. I've only seen the gameplay (and cool weapons. what's that bow called again?) while watching tournament videos. The Locusts look pretty big and muscular.

I've been playing a cyborg character based on Treila in our local Deadlands: Hell on Earth campaign. Have a concealed cyberspur in one arm and a 2 mm railgun concealed in other. However I get the most milage out of my not so plain jane Benelli 12g pumpaction with bayonet. The "grownups" in the party used to think i was nuts for using instead it of an assault rifle or sword , until i took down a white wendigo with it. Tough varmit too, had to unload all 5 shots then get medivel with the bayonet. Coincendtly I've been trying to pry a chainsword of my GM for a while now. Nice to see some of you guys think along the same lines.
