The Mystery of the Applegate Villa

Post by Guest on Wed 11 Jun 2008 - 17:22

In homage to the Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew Mystery show.

A Croce Girls, Triela Hartman Super Mystery

(Open scene with a large chest on a stone floor centered in a spot light. Invisible hands open the chest to reveal)

Gold Dubloons & pieces of eight handed down to Applegate.

From buccaneers, who fought for years.

For gold dubloons & pieces of eight.

Pieces of eight, pieces of eight, pieces of eight.

(Scene's of battles between pirate ship's & crews)

Handed down in pirates chest.

Gold they fought for east & west.

(Scene of a Skeleton its bones in a cave)

Till no one was left to bury the chest.

(Now back to the closed chest)

Now the gold dubloons & pieces of eight all belong to Applegate.

The chest is here but wait.......

(Chest opens again to reveal that it's empty)

Where are those gold dubloons & pieces of eight, pieces of eight, pieces of eight, pieces of eight.

Over the hills behind the SWA compound is the Applegate Villa.
The villa is one of the many Croce Family holdings (the villa belonging to Jean & Jose's maternal Grandfather).

After many years in porbate the courts finally give the deed to the villa & the serounding land to Jose Croce.

Jean throws a hissy fit saying "grandfather always liked you best."

Jose says "Well I didn't take Big Daddy's sports car for a spin to impress his girlfriend only to try to turn said car into a submarine, by driveing it into the river."

(Insert Triela laughing her head off.)

When asked what he going to do with the place Jose says he will let the girls (& in some cases handlers) use it as a place where they can whine down & rest after X numbers of missions without the pressure cooker environment at the compound.

So he sends the Fabulous Five ( or if you include Petra the Spectacular Six) over the hills & through the woods to check out the place.

While going through the basement Henrietta finds a ships journal that tells of the adventures of a William Applegate a cabin boy of a privateer that went pirate after Queen Ann's War. Through attrition he became captain & a massed a huge fortune that he took to the Papal States (remember Italy wasn't a united country back then) after tieing up some loose ends (if you know what I mean).

She finds another letter dateing back to early days of World War 2 that tells of another Applegate hiding what remains of the treasure a huge chest filled with gold & silver coins & diomonds & rare gem stones from Mussolini & his thugs befor leaveing with his family for England hopeing to come back & dig it up after the war.

Later she finds a newspaper that reports that this Applegate a RAF pilot was killed near the end of the war. (Supriseingly it was Hillshire's father a young German pilot that killed him as it seems that they shot each other down & he was captured by the Allied forces.) Taking the secret location with him but leaveing a map but with no names only symbols that point to clues that are in & around the villa.

There is a village near the villa as well as a grave yard that all have clues scattered about & uderground there are caves & catacombs all have clues as well as traps if you get to close to the treasure so beware.

Pino, Franco, Franca are also in the village recovering from there run-in with the SWA & some of the locals start talking about the Applegate villa being taken over by it's new owner & then talk about the lost treasure they over-hear & want to get into chase. Add in a WW2 vetran & hard core Italian Nazi (one of the thugs that Mussolini sent looking for the gold) that wants to use the gold as a base to help start a new Roman Empire & will have a three way race to secure the treasure, One side to insure the fortune of there big brothers, another that wants it for themselves, & another that wants to plunge the world into darkness one more time.

Can the Gunslinger Girls handle this.

It's up to you.

From the start,I thought this storyline might fit with ninja Claes idea but when reading almost end I don't think so

First it's a 'Mad, Mad, World' and now a Treasure Hunt?

I guess even the GSGs are succeptable to the vice of greed.

As for Triela she wants to repair the damage her "brother's" father did to the family. just whistlin'

By the way what is the status of "It's a Mad, Mad, World."?

It hasn't gotten off the ground.

Now that I can actually see the text, I deem this idea not bad at all. Definitely fic-worthy.

Sorry about M,M,W  it would have been a interesting read.

Thank you for the thumbs up to my idea.

Besides who here wouldn't kill for Triela vs. Pino round three.

Now that would be a rubber stamp match that would equal the Thrilla in Manillia.
