I watched Wangan Midnight: The Movie, a live-action movie based on the arcade game/Manga/Anime franchise of the same name. Thankfully, it's not 'Fast and The Furious', but on the same token, it somehow felt like it was lacking in car action. maybe I need to watch it again. for those interested, here is the first part, out of eight:

Fun fact: The racing scenes were shot in the Philippines.

Finally got around to seeing the final installment of Harry Potter. Enjoyed it immensely, especially the...

Spoiler:
..."raising the shields" sequence and subsequent magical artillery barrage directed against it. One of my favorite Sci-Fi motifs turning up in HP? Yes please. Also, I'm just a massive sucker for a good "battle stations" scene.

The other thing I'm wondering is if that trench that Emma Watson was wearing right at the end was included under her contract with Burberry or if they had to pay extra for its inclusion in the movie?

RED

Loosely based on a comic series by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner. After trading in his professional past as a black-ops CIA operative for a new identity, Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) is basking in normality. But he's forced to return to old habits when an assassin puts a target on his back and goes after the woman (Mary-Louise Parker) he loves. Helen Mirren and John Malkovich co-star as former members of Frank's team who reluctantly reassemble to save his life.

What an absolutely brilliant film with a brilliant story and a brilliant choice in casting. This crowd will eat it up.

And I could so Helen Mirren's character of "Victoria" as an NPC. Maybe Naomi Campbell's aunt. Smile

Naomi: "She's a wonderful woman, though kind of eccentric."

Michele and Jethro share a look.

Michele: "You don't know the half of it."

Monty: "What aren't you two telling me?"

Jethro: "Later."

A propos of nothing, but I think it needs to be said more that The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
is the greatest film ever made, in any genre, in any language. Arthouse
or multiplex, black&white or colour, animated or live-action,
silent or talking, nothing can compare

I loved it. The first time watching it is unforgettable, especially the end sequence. A very human drama in the way that so many westerns before and after failed to be. Epic in scale and minute in detail. Incredible that it could leave such a lasting legacy in spite of it's Italian roots. While not the greatest film ever made, it certainly is one of the top ten.

Just saw the extended cut of Leon: The Professional.

Interesting; if you're familiar with the theatrical cut there is a lot of new material which fleshes out the relationship between Jean Reno & Natalie Portman. As good as it is (and there are a few very good added scenes) I can understand why each scene was cut...they really do mess with continuity and steer the whole story away from Gary Oldman's character.

Either way, absolutely worth a look if you love Luc Besson's film.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain their idea on how that huge front wheel on a motorcycle is supposed to make it better. I've seen it before in movies and it makes no sense.

Oh yes, I forgot to tell you. My favorite movie is, Battle Royale. It the 2000 Japanese cult film. However, they never released in USA due to graphic violence. It talk about teenagers were have to fight each other for 3 days. If they time is up, they all dies.

Also, I agree with Triela; the latest Final Destination's (snirk) death scenes or gore-tastic. Scream 4 was still lacking something just like the other 3; but I just can't put my finger on it.

I saw the movie The Help with my mom last week. I really enjoyed it. It's hard to imagine a time before African American's had basic civil rights... It was really sad at most parts because you see how the maids live and it's soooo wrong but it had a happy ending.

After I watched the Japanese live-action movie called, Prince of Tennis. I gave it 7 out of 10 stars. It look good. This movie is remind me of Stephen Chow's film such as Shaolin Soccer where they used the power sport technique. However, there is the Chinese drama version of Prince of Tennis called, Wang Qiu Wang Zi.

Catching up with an old favorite: WASABI

When Hubert (Jean Reno) receives a phone call from Japan informing him that the love of his life, who disappeared nearly 20 years ago, has died, he soon discovers that he's been saddled with a handful of problems -- and Yumi, a daughter (Ryoko Hirosue) he never knew he had! Learning that his former flame had stolen money from the Yakuza, a fortune their daughter will soon inherit, the French cop must solve the mysterious death and protect Yumi.

I might have Hubert make a cameo in a future chapter...

I loved that movie, it was everything I wanted a Tron sequel to be: the characters were flat, the plot was non-existant.... but there were light cycles, the visuals were spectacular and the music was by Daft Punk... what more do you want?

Jean Reno is my favorite French actor of all time.

For my favorite Japanese actor. It Tatsuya Fujiwara and Takeshi Kitano. Both were appeared in Battle Royale.

For American actor/actress, it unknown. Because I haven't look at it. But I will put Top 10 Favorite Hollywood Actor/Actress. I confirmed Tom Cruise is on my favorite list. Samuel L. Jackson is also confirmed on my favorite lists.

Mate of mine's joined the army and ships out for basic training in a few
weeks... he's older than me by two years and is concerned he's left it too late and will be too old to keep up with the youngsters.

Unfortunately all that's making me think of, is, well....

Seeing as it's one of the chief sources of inspiration for GSG I've spent some time hunting for Leon: The Professional, and after finally sourcing a DVD copy of the short theatrical cut in a bargain bucket I've been able to sit down and experience it. Definitely an intriguing and engaging film, and one that developed in unexpected ways. Now I just have to resent how studio bickering means that Mathilda will never be produced...

So I guess if this was a proverbial race up Crap Creek, I'd say this latest Transformers movie was slightly less annoying than the first two. Razz

Said Blu-ray arrived today and out of the 2 hour and 30 minute runtime, I watched about half of it as I admit the last hour or so of the movie (Chicago) is pretty amazing, visually.

Putting Michael Bay on Ritalin was a good call, as it slowed the cinematography down to the point I could actually focus on what was happening.

Still think Megan Fox in #2 was hotter, but Bay is all about bombs and boobs and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley certainly is stacked.

Just watched The Poughkeepsie Tapes. It's a mockumentary about a serial killer, who kills and changed his MO all the time. It's really interesting and creepy as all heck. O_O I highly recommend it, but be warned it is gruesome, some things you don't see that well and are only told to you, but the idea of it is really scary.

This for me was the scariest scene. There is a killing towards the end, (not that bad, graphic wise) but the part when he's going over to her is one of the freakiest things I have ever seen. ;___;

Also some people think this really happened. This is just a movie and it's all fake.

ED Wood, a legend in his own lifetime,so many b movies of dubious caliber they made a movie about him !

Ed Wood’s Top 5 Movies on DVD
Glen Or Glenda? [DVD](1952) DVD
Writer/director Ed Wood pseudonymously starred in this transvestite/sex-change docudrama that was his most autobiographical film. Will Glen's fiancee let him wear her angora sweater? Hear scientist-narrator Bela Lugosi warn viewers to "bevare of the big green dragon that sits on your doorstep," see daffy dream sequences, and learn the inner turmoil of men who wear "pink satin undies." With Dolores Fuller, Lyle Talbot. AKA: "I Led Two Lives." 67 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.

Jail Bait [DVD](1954) DVD
A hard-as-nails gangster film, Ed Wood-style. A hood on the lam shoots his partner, then forces the guy's surgeon-father to change his face. The stars include Lyle Talbot, Dolores Fuller, Timothy Farrell and a young Steve Reeves; don't miss the "hilarious" blackface minstrel sequence! 75 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono; theatrical trailer.

Bride Of The Monster [DVD](1956) DVD
Wood and Lugosi team up again in this tale of a mad scientist out to create a race of "atomic super-giants." See Tor Johnson as Lobo, Lugosi's mute lab assistant! See Bela wrestle with an obvious rubber octopus! See Tor wrestle with Bela's platform-heeled stand-in! "He tampered in God's domain!" With Tony McCoy, Loretta King. 70 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.

Plan 9 From Outer Space (1958)/The Ed Wood Story [DVD](1992) DVD
Recognized on six continents as ``the worst film ever made,'' this sci-fi travesty from Ed Wood features anti-nuclear aliens whose ships look like paper plates, Tor Johnson and Vampira as zombie slaves, Bela Lugosi in two minutes of stock footage (a stand-in with a cape took his place), and narration by famed psychic Criswell. "Can you prove it didn't happen?" Plus, take a behind-the-schlock with this retrospective that tells the story of the man whose complete cinematic incompetence turned him into a legend. Includes interviews with Johnny Depp, Martin Landau, Vampira, Bela Lugosi and Mrs. Wood herself, Dolores Fuller. 120 min. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English; theatrical trailers.

Night Of The Ghouls [DVD](1959) DVD
The long-lost "sequel" to "Bride of the Monster" stars Criswell, Vampira and the ever-popular Tor Johnson in a tale of fake mediums who find themselves up against the true "walking dead." Writer/director Wood calls them "Monsters to be pitied...monsters to be despised." Who are we to argue? 69 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.

He may have been typecast

A Harry Potter actor has been charged with violent disorder in the wake of the London riots.

Jamie Waylett, 22, of Messina Avenue, Camden, north London, was arrested on September 20 following the riots which broke out across the capital in August.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "He was charged with violent disorder, having an article of intent to destroy or damage property, receiving stolen goods, and also cultivating cannabis plants."

The actor, who plays Vincent Crabbe in the popular wizard films, appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on September 29 and was released on conditional bail, a spokeswoman for the court said.

Waylett has appeared in many of the Potter movies.

Legend of Hell House was a good film.

I can picture Roddy McDowell as a Handler too.

I just finished a movie called Dark Harbor with Norman Reedus and Alan Rickman...

I've been on Tumblr a lot for a past few days so I will post the feelings I felt thought the movie as such. If you don't want spoilers, don't look, however the gifs are funny... at least I think so. XD

Spoiler:
Watching the beginning I was a bit confused and I felt uneasy, and I didn't know why.

When I saw Norman Reedus I fangirled and smiled cuz he was so cute!

As the movie went on it got really creepy and even more weird, when absolutely nothing was really going on.

Then and the wife wanted her husband out of the house and Norman also told him to get out and this shot happened:

and I was like: <33333

I thought it was the end and then another scene came up when Alan Rickman was alone at his house and he went outside and someone is a hood came up and kissed him. When the hood was pulled back...

I:

And yet I still don't know what happened...

But I'm SOOOO HAPPY!!!!!

Edit: OOOOH I get it now! I watched the ending (for the kiss again) X3 and now I understand EVERYTHING! It was all planned... Everything went so perfectly for them. I feel bad for his wife though. D:

5 minutes into The Boondock Saints and Norman Reedus is TOO ADORABLE! X3

Edit: Just finished it. It was pretty good, I loved the action. It wasn't the best movie in terms of plot... but the eye candy was top notch. :3

I just finished watching the documentary The Rape of Europa. Sidestepping its rather melodramatic title this chronicle of the effect of World War Two on the art of Europe is one of the best things I've seen in ages.

Anyone with the slightest interest in European art will find this heart-wrenching, inspirational & fascinating all the way through. My only complaint was that it was only 2 hours long. But wait, what's this? There's an 8.5 hour extended version? Ordered. If anyone needs me I'll be waiting next to my post office box.
