Why do you think Hillshire is so frightened? This little girl blasts and stabs terrorists in her free time and occasionally tears throats out of boy assassins so that they die a silent, horrible death and now she's snuggling up to me?
What do I do?

Well, it seems that the job of an SWA handlers is only a dream job if you are a pervert. If you're anything but (like Hillshire) you either bow to the mistress, or die horribly.

Ah so that's the root of all those jokes about Triela.
I always thought they started from that strange (possibly mistranslated) line in Chapter 3 page 6. I truly believe that that's going to turn out to be a Chekov's Gun and find its way back into the story just like Mario Bossi in the same chapter. Then we'll have more jokes

Re: Beatrice
Ok, since we’ve started to learn a good bit more about the girls and their handlers in recent chapters and episodes, I thought it might not be a bad time to revise their sections in the wiki. I also took the liberty of trimming them a bit, since in many cases they were more plot summaries than character summaries. Let me know what you think, please.
Beatrice is able to smell explosives either on a person or structure, an ability used by her handler, Bernardo, to help identify potential suspects. In both the anime and manga she is portrayed as both apathetic and unemotional. She forms a friendship with Claes, who teaches her botany and gardening. Beatrice's preferred weapon is the IMI Micro Uzi machine pistol.

I don't think so. Right now it's a speculation because we haven't seen it with our own eyes yet so nope, nothing about her supposed death until chapter 64 says so

Re: Beatrice
Personally, if she survived taking a 20mm anti-aircraft round through the lower chest then these girls are immortal. Since I don't believe they are, I am of what I believe to be an informed opinion she is killed, but that is an opinion and that's not really appropriate for a Wiki entry.
I'll have the Volume 11 tankobon by the end of the month (it releases on July 27th) so hopefully that tells us either way.

Re: Beatrice
I would say 9 - 10 at best. 11 would make her Rico's age upon going through the process, and almost 12 now. Though we can argue that the girls dont grow and thus dont apparently age physically, Beatrice looks younger than she actually is.
Either that or she's damn short for her age!

Re: Beatrice
She looks older than Elsa and Henrietta, both of whom I feel were converted around 10.
Angelica is the tough one. In the early manga, she looks 9-10, but in the later manga, she looks around 12. Since she was the prototype, I operate under the assumption she was modified in stages (first fixing her spine to repair the paralysis) over a period of a year or so which explains how her face aged. Then when they converted her, they felt they wanted someone taller to better be able to handle the weapons, so she was given the body of a 12 year old as opposed to her natural 10.
Henrietta and Elsa were kept as 10 because the Agency thought it might make them better infiltrators.

Re: Beatrice
I think Beatrice looks 10-11, but Kisk said that he thinks she's 16 right now, which would mean she's been like that for 5-6 years, which is before SWA even had cyborgs right?
Speaking of age, If Henrietta is 16, why does she still think like a kid?

Edit: I meant Beatrice

She just strikes me as being really young in the anime. It's harder to say in the manga since we only see her as a corpse. The one flashback scene of her in the manga when Jean and Jose are in the ruins on Sicily does make her look older, but by then Yu was drawing all the girls looking older, so I disregard it.
Plus those pigtails just strike me as a hairstyle a 10-year old would wear, not a 12-year old. *shrug*
